GELPA BOARD MEETING WITH LTG INFROS L.E.P. IN THE MANUAL

May 15 The board of Gelpa met and got acquainted with LTG Infra l.e.p. manager Rūta Jakubauskiene. At the beginning of the meeting, GELPA president Vytautas Žirgutis presented the activities of the association and the members of the board to R. Jakubauskien. Those gathered discussed the issue of cooperation between contractors and customers, the duration and time of public procurement procedures, proactive communication during public procurement, the logic of their timing, the distribution of risks and many other relevant issues. R. Jakubauskienė emphasized that currently there is a need to carry out works in the railway sector, the volume of which is almost the largest in history, and therefore the smoothest possible implementation of projects is very important for railways. The past year has shown more clearly than ever that it is necessary to plan railway infrastructure projects for at least the medium term, and this is important for both the client and the contractors. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that Gelpa would present proposals from the members of the association and initiate discussions on the most relevant topics discussed.
